Creston, IA -- Christian Torres and Luke Schneider combined to no-hit Southwestern CC on Tuesday as Indian Hills rolled to a 13-0 non-conference victory over the Spartans.
Torres was coming off a game against Muscatine in which he surrendered two hits and one run in five innings and was even better in this outing. The freshman lefty threw six innings of hitless ball with three walks and four strikeouts. Schneider finished up the gem with a one-two-three 7th inning with a pair of Ks.
Meanwhile, the IHCC offense provided plenty of support, scoring all its runs in three innings.
Doubles by Dario Polanco and Taylor Ostrich sparked a four-run 3rd; Caleb Ratzman drilled a three-run home run as part of a six-run 5th; and Tyler Hermann's leadoff homer accounted for the first of three runs in the 6th.
Joel Booker joined Polanco with three hits and Ratzman and Ostrich had two each. Booker also scored three times and Ratzman, Polanco and Hermann collected three RRIs each.
The Falcons are slated to host Ellsworth on Wednesday.
