Ross is Latest IHCC Player Going to Lindsey Wilson

Centerville -- Sophomore righthanded pitcher Sam Ross is the second Indian Hills baseball player to decide that Lindsey Wilson College in Kentucky is where he will go after graduating from IHCC this spring.

Ross will join Falcons' teammate Matt Lashlee as a member of the pitching staff at Lindsey Wilson, an NAIA school in Columbia, Kentucky, after this spring.  Lashlee has already signed with Lindsey Wilson.

Ross, from Urbandale, is coming off a strong freshman season at IHCC where he won two games and posted a 2.35 ERA, striking out 18 in 30-plus innings.

Asked why he decided on Lindsey Wilson, Ross said, "I chose the school because of the winning tradition of its baseball program and the strong academics the college has to offer."

There is another IHCC connection with Lindsey Wilson.  Mitch Osnowitz, who was an all-region performer for Indian Hills in 2011, is currently on the Blue Raiders' roster.  They are ranked 12th in the NAIA poll and had a great 2012 campaign when they won 43 games under first-year head coach Jonathon Burton, winning a Mid-South Conference championship and earning a trip to the NAIA national tournament.
