Falcon Recruit Honored as POY

Centerville -- Indian Hills Community College baseball recruit Tyler Hermann has been named the high school Player of the Year in Wisconsin. Hermann, who signed a national letter-of-intent with Indian Hills last winter, was selected as the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association state player of the year after leading his Eau Claire North team to its first state championship.

Hermann also garnered the District I Player of the Year honor.

Hermann was 2-for-3 with two doubles and three runs scored in North’s state title game win and was a first-team all-state pick as an infielder. As a senior, Hermann hit .569 with 30 runs, four doubles, a triple, seven homers and 33RBIs.

That performance followed a junior season in which Hermann batted .479 with six home runs and 29 RBIs. He also went 3-1 with a 2.38 ERA as a pitcher.
