Centerville -- Indian Hills will hold a baseball camp for players ages 8 and older on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 27 and 28, in the Multi-purpose building on the IHCC Centerville campus.
Head baseball coach Cam Walker will direct the camp in which players will receive individual instruction in pitching, catching and hitting. IHCC assistant coaches Jonathan Mathews and Brandon Crisp will assist coach Walker along with Rick Mathews from the Colorado Rockies' organization.
The camp will be broken into two instructional sessions. On Monday, Dec. 27, the emphasis will be on pitching and catching. Players from 8-12 years old will go from 9 a.m. - noon and those ages 13 and older will go from 1-4 p.m.
Hitting will be the focus on Tuesday, Dec. 28, with the age groups and times the same as the day before.
The fee to attend the camp is $50 for one day or $95 for both days. Campers will get a t-shirt along with their individual instruction.

Indian Hills will also offer an Advanced Pitching and Hitting Camp on Feb. 19 and 20. This camp is for varsity high school baseball players or those who will be varsity players next summer. Space is limited to 24 players in each session.
The areas of emphasis will be pitching on Saturday, Feb. 19 and hitting on Sunday, Feb. 20. There will be two sessions each day -- one from 9:30 a.m. to noon and a second from 1:00 to 3:30.
The IHCC coaching staff will provide the instruction and campers can also have a videotape of their performance evaluated. They will need to provide their own videotape.
The cost to attend is $50 per session. Camp t-shirts will be given to all who participate.
