Centerville -- Nick Nordgren is the latest former Indian Hills Falcon baseball player to play professionally. Nordgren, a former All-Region performer for the Falcons, signed a free agent contract with the San Francisco Giants in late-July and was assigned to the Giants' team in the Arizona Rookie League.
Nordgren, an outfielder was a two-time first-team All-Region XI choice for IHCC and led the team in a number of offensive categories as a sophomore.
After leaving Indian Hills, Nordgren played one season at both Creighton University and the University of Tampa.
Nordgren was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays after graduating from high school, but opted to attend Indian Hills instead.
Nordgren joins Ruben Gotay, Irving Falu, Brock Kjeldgaard and Ray Kruml as former IHCC Falcons playing in the minor leagues in 2010.
